Back in our school uniforms
There was a moment after the first two months of Covid 19 national lockdown in May 2020 when most parents, including myself, started to experience a change of mood and behaviour in our small children. Stress and frustration at not being able to live as we used to, including going to school, was changing the way our children were reacting to the daily challenges of isolation.
This was a doorstep and street portrait project intended to portray childrens’ anxiety and their strong desire to return to normality.
Wearing their school uniform for their portrait was a way to ignite hope that they would soon be able to return to their schools and get their freedom back.
